Volunteers Needed!
Volunteer
TOV- Tikkun Olam Volunteers, an initiative of Jewish Federation of Greater Atlanta’s Women and Philanthropy and Engagement departments, presents their first annual Coat Drive! The coat drive will run until Nov. 15, 2012 and JF&CS is one of the drop off locations.

The winter months are not the easiest for those without the means to stay warm, and donating to this drive is another way you can support your Federation’s mission of caring for those in need.

This project will benefit: JF&CS, Yad L’Yad, and Zaban Couples Night Shelter.

For more information, please contact Marni Bronstein at mbronstein@jfga.org or 678.222.3720.

The Talent of TFI ArtWORKS

ArtWORKS
Come out to support ArtWORKS as they present their work during two great art shows: ArtWORKS provides a therapeutic outlet for adults with developmental disabilities, while also building their prevocational skills as they market their artistic creations. A portion of the proceeds will go to support the artists.

JF&CS at MJCCA's Book Festival

The 21st Edition of the Book Festival of the MJCCA is just around the corner and JF&CS is thrilled to be a Community Partner.
  • Oddly Normal
JF&CS is a proud sponsor of Oddly Normal by John Schwartz on Sun. Nov. 4th at 12:30 pm. Oddly Normal is a very personal attempt to address Schwartz’s family’s own struggles with society, when his 13 year old son attempted suicide after coming out to classmates who took the news with dismay and confusion. Tickets are $10 (with coupon code JFCS). Tickets and more info here.
  • On Sun. Nov. 18th at 10 am, the MJCCA features Joy Ladin’s Through the Door of Life, which takes readers inside the author’s transition as she changed genders and, in the process, created a new self. JF&CS' own Rebecca Stapel-Wax, Director of The Rainbow Center, will introduce the speaker. Tickets are $10 for members, $15 for non members. Tickets and more info here.
Both events are held at: Marcus Jewish Community Center of Atlanta's Zaban Park (5342 Tilly Mill Rd).
