Great Food for a Great Cause: Breadwinner Café Partners with JF&CS' Shalom Bayit Program
Support JF&CS’ Shalom Bayit program by visiting Breadwinner Café and Bakery on Monday, February 20. The restaurant will be donating a portion of the day's gross proceeds to Shalom Bayit to support efforts to end domestic violence. Stop in for one of the best lunches in Sandy Springs - gourmet soups, salads, sandwiches and desserts - or take home delicious prepared foods to go. You'll get a fabulous meal and make a difference in your own community.
Shalom Bayit, meaning "peace in the home," provides short- and long-term assistance to those facing physical violence, or emotional or sexual abuse in their families or intimate relationships. Educational programming, advocacy and consultation are provided, and we work to dispel the myth that abuse does not occur in Jewish homes.
February 23 - Grants 201 Lunch & Learn
Last year we offered a session on the basics of grant writing led by Vera Golden, our Grants and Contracts Manager. Vera will be facilitating another session on grants looking more closely at the process of writing a foundation-based grant. The session meets from 12 – 1:30 pm (lunch will be served) at the JF&CS Dunwoody office. We can accommodate 2-3 people per congregation. RSVP to outreach@jfcs-atlanta.org by Feb 20th.
